How CodeIgniter MVC Architecture Works
CodeIgniter organises application functionality through three main components: Models, Views and Controllers. Each component has a separate responsibility within the application.
Consider an order management application. A customer submits an order through a form. The controller receives the request, validates the submitted information and works with the model to process the relevant database operations. The view then displays the appropriate result to the user.
This approach helps separate the user interface from data operations and request handling. It also gives developers a clearer structure when adding or updating application features.
